Hello again

Yes it's me back again.

I find momentum really hard to maintain but a good friend gave me a kick up the backside and told me to get back blogging.. Thanks Lisa xx

So what have I been up to?

Well I have been really good and taking all my meds, enjoying as much sun as I could absorb plus still on with the Vit D.  The outcome has been excellent!

I went on holiday with a friend in June and we just chose a cheap and cheerful all inclusive, a first for me.

I was worried about my stamina and the quarter mile walk to the beach each day did seem a lot longer by the end of the week but I managed by taking a short afternoon nap or rest.

We had a fab time and I went into the sea past my ankles for the first time ever!

Well it took a few weeks, and plenty of rest, to get back so normal afterwards but I didn't get the awful swelling and fatigue I always used to get after over exerting myself.

From then on things have got better and better.

Constant pain is one of those things that you take for granted.  So much so that, when is eases off, you don't really notice.

So, I am not sure when but about a month ago I realised that I felt different.  I was staying up later, sleeping better and not waking up as exhausted.  The pain levels had reduced and I found myself doing more jobs around the house without it hurting.  I could even lift a full kettle to make a cup of tea!

But I knew this was just the effects of the sun and the summer and that by winter it would all go downhill.  Not a cheering prospect.

I planned this hibernation...
I bought hand warmers, ankle warmers, cut off gloves and a onesie.  Not pretty!
I continued with the Vitamin D and the daily painkillers and waited for the effects of the cold....

I am still waiting!!

Maybe the great summer has boosted me up but I developed an ambition to take up a new hobby, a semi ACTIVE one.

But all that is for another post.  Suffice it so say that I am feeling positive and hopeful for the first time in about seven years.

Here's to it continuing...
